A small, senior-led NYC builder that's stayed lean on purpose. Corporate interiors, healthcare, education and hospitality — the kind of client roster built on repeat business, not RFPs.
A well-established construction management company based in Manhattan is looking for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of projects from preconstruction through to closeout. Founded in the early 2010s, they've deliberately kept the business tight rather than chasing scale — a senior team, a short chain of command, and a portfolio built almost entirely on institutions and landlords who keep coming back.
You'll take full ownership of commercial construction projects across Manhattan — corporate interiors, healthcare, education and hospitality buildouts, many in occupied or part-occupied buildings where minimal disruption is non-negotiable. You'll run site teams, hold the client and subcontractor relationships, and be the person accountable for schedule, budget and quality from day one to closeout.
Because the business is small by design, this isn't a role where you disappear into a layer of middle management. You'll have a direct line to leadership, real input into how projects are run, and the room to build your own reputation with the institutions and landlords you're working for.
Our client has spent over a decade building a name in Manhattan without ever trying to be the biggest name in the room. Under 50 people, a genuinely senior leadership team, and institutional and landlord relationships that have lasted years rather than a single project.
