The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced commercial Superintendent to join their field operations team in the Greater Boston area. You'll take full ownership of site operations across a varied portfolio of commercial projects — managing trades, driving schedules, maintaining quality standards, and making sure every project runs safely and efficiently from groundbreaking through to handover.

This is a role for someone who leads with authority and earns respect through competence. You'll be the constant on site — the person subcontractors look to for direction and clients trust to keep things on track. The variety of project types means you'll rarely be doing the same thing twice, and you'll be backed by a preconstruction and project management team that genuinely understands what happens in the field.

What You'll Be Doing

• Taking full ownership of daily site operations across commercial construction projects in the Greater Boston area
• Coordinating and managing subcontractors and trades to keep work sequenced and schedules on track
• Enforcing quality standards throughout the build with regular inspections and proactive issue resolution
• Leading site safety — ensuring all personnel and subcontractors comply with safety programmes and site rules
• Maintaining clear, consistent communication with the project management team and clients
• Managing site logistics including deliveries, material storage, and access coordination
• Producing accurate daily reports and site documentation
• Mentoring and developing junior site personnel

What Our Client is Looking For

• Proven experience as a Superintendent within commercial general contracting or construction management
• Solid background in ground-up commercial construction across sectors such as healthcare, advanced technology, office, industrial or similar
• Strong ability to manage multiple subcontractor trades simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• A natural leader who commands respect on site and holds high standards without creating friction
• Excellent communication skills — you keep the PM team and clients informed without being chased
• A problem-solver who handles field challenges decisively and calmly
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Based in or willing to work across the Greater Boston area
